This essentials class is for to anyone considering fostering or adopting a rabbit (even if its not from us!) — to ensure that you start off on the right foot. As exotic pets, rabbits have unique needs and this class will help you understand and meet them with confidence. Our rabbit savvy educators will answer all of your questions and equip you with the tools and information you need for a successful and pawsitive experience caring for a domestic rabbit.

Our FREE Bunny101 Class is offered every Monday, 6:00-7:00PM EST via Zoom.

  • the 3 C’s of owning rabbits (Care, Cost and Lifestyle Considerations)
  • Habitat Setup & Supply recommendations
  • Bunny Proofing
  • Diet (recommended and not safe products)
  • Veterinary care: GI Stasis, Dental Disease & Ear Infections

Part of the presentation will be a PowerPoint, so joining from a laptop or tablet is recommended for clear viewing.

To get the most out of our class, we request that participants dedicate the time to be present, participate, take notes, ask questions, and attend from home or an office where they are able to give the class their full attention. Driving, cleaning, cooking, going on/off camera, etc. means information will be missed and is distracting to the other participants.

Those attending to meet our Foster or Adoption criteria: We kindly ask that you keep your camera ON for the duration of the class, with all family members visible, and join in asking and answering questions. This allows us to confirm everyone’s understanding and offer real-time support where needed.

The one-on-one and interactive capabilities of the zoom call as well as the thoroughness of the education on bunny care, especially for new owners and those unfamiliar with the intensive care required in having a rabbit as a pet.
